Quick Scan: A Smarter Way to Pre-Assess Green Building Projects

Green building assessors often face a common challenge: potential clients want a preliminary assessment to determine if pursuing green certification is worthwhile. However, assessors already managing multiple projects rarely have the time to sift through hundreds of documents for a project that isn’t yet contracted. This can make it difficult to decide whether a project has real potential without committing significant time and effort.

Introducing Quick Scan

To address this, we developed Quick Scan, a feature in sustainabot designed to simplify the early assessment process.

With Quick Scan, assessors can:

  • Upload all project-related documents at once

  • Select the relevant certification scheme

  • Run an automated scan to identify which criteria the project might meet

Within seconds, the system analyzes the documents and provides an overview of the project's potential certification feasibility. This allows assessors to make an informed decision about whether to proceed with the client—without manually reviewing extensive documentation.

Streamlining the Pre-Assessment Process

By automating the initial review, Quick Scan helps assessors:

  • Evaluate projects more efficiently

  • Reduce time spent on non-contracted assessments

  • Focus on projects that are more likely to move forward

This feature makes it easier to manage incoming inquiries while maintaining focus on ongoing work. Instead of spending hours manually reviewing documents, assessors can quickly determine if a project is worth pursuing—allowing for a more efficient and structured approach to green building assessments.
